Imperial Cone Trooper a Clone Trooper Created Using E-waste
Explore the inspiration and process behind this piece.
The Imperial Clone Trooper is one of the oldest pieces in the shop — completed in March 2015, it represents an early landmark in Gabriel Dishaw's ongoing exploration of how upcycled e-waste and reclaimed components can be reborn as cultural storytelling. Where the Clone Trooper design represents uniformity, mass production, and the erasure of individual identity, this sculpture inverts that logic completely — each component sourced, curated, and assembled by hand, transforming mechanical remnants into a soldier defined by craftsmanship and sustainability rather than conformity.
The bridge between industrial waste and cultural mythology, made physical.

My Imperial Cone Trooper reimagines the Clone Trooper aesthetic by utilizing upcycled e-waste and reclaimed components. This sculpture transforms mechanical remnants into a new kind of soldier — one defined by craftsmanship, creativity, and sustainability rather than uniformity. It represents an early step in my ongoing exploration of how discarded technology can be reborn as a storytelling form, bridging the gap between industrial waste and cultural mythology.
