Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold — the philosophy being that fractures and imperfections don't diminish something, they become its most important story. Golden Scars of the Empire applies that philosophy to one of Star Wars' most iconic and deliberately faceless symbols: the Emperor's Royal Guard.
Gold inlay lines cut across the helmet like scars, transforming armor built to project fear into something that speaks of resilience and renewal. Constructed from authentic upcycled Louis Vuitton materials, this piece operates on two levels simultaneously — as a striking Star Wars collector's work and as a meditation on what it means for something broken to become more meaningful than before.
Materials: Authentic upcycled Louis Vuitton canvas, leather, and hardware; gold inlay; reclaimed components.

Runway to the Death Star takes the Imperial Royal Guard — the Emperor's elite, crimson-robed protectors — and frames their signature helmets as fashion statements. The title says it plainly: these guards already look like they stepped off a runway. The smooth, elongated dome, the full-face mask, the complete absence of any individual marking — this is fashion as absolute uniformity, as total erasure of the self in service of imperial power.
