Kylo Ren inspired Sculptures Created Using Upcycled E-waste and Luxury Goods
My Kylo Ren–Inspired Sculpture explores the conflict between destruction and creation — a theme that runs deep through both the Star Wars saga and my own artistic process. Built from upcycled e-waste, found materials, and luxury elements, this piece embodies Kylo’s internal duality: the pull between heritage and individuality, tradition and innovation.

Explore the inspiration and process behind this piece.
Kylo Ren is Star Wars' great study in conflict — the pull between heritage and rebellion, destruction and creation, the weight of legacy and the desire to break free of it. Upcycled Kylo Ren, completed in December 2015, was the first piece in a series that would go on to explore this character across six distinct sculptures, most of them long since sold. This one remains — built from data cables, braided wire, computer chips, capacitors, and found electronic materials, a pure e-waste construction that embodies the same tension as the character himself: something discarded, transformed into something meaningful.
The Kylo Ren series is one of Gabriel's earliest explorations of Star Wars through the lens of e-waste. Four pieces have sold in the years since. This is the last one available.
