I’m thrilled to share my newest sculpture, Creed of Couture.
This elevated bust is inspired by The Armorer from The Mandalorian — a character known for wisdom, craftsmanship, and fierce loyalty to the Mandalorian creed. My goal with this piece was to honor that legacy while bringing it into conversation with fashion, design, and the world of upcycled art.
A Fusion of Story and Style
At first glance, the helmet and chest plate are unmistakably Mandalorian. But look closer, and you’ll notice the couture influence woven throughout. Bold color blocking, sharp design lines, and repurposed luxury materials create a dialogue between two worlds: one rooted in tradition, the other in reinvention.
Upcycling as Identity
“Creed of Couture” is more than a nod to Star Wars lore. It’s about reimagining what has been discarded or overlooked, and giving it new life. Just as the Mandalorian creed emphasizes forging and reforging, this piece reflects my own practice of taking forgotten materials and shaping them into art with renewed meaning and value.
