Are your sculptures one of a kind?

Yes. Every Gabriel Dishaw sculpture is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted piece — 1 of 1. There are no editions, no reproductions, and no copies. Each work is unique to the collector who owns it. The only exception is the limited edition art print collection, where each print is signed and numbered in runs of 25 to 50.

What makes your work different from other upcycled art?

Gabriel Dishaw's sculptures combine authentic luxury fashion materials — vintage Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and other reclaimed designer goods — with vintage e-waste and pop culture iconography. The result is collector-grade art rooted in two disciplines that rarely meet: high fashion craftsmanship and electronic recycling. Every piece is built entirely by hand from materials that already have a story before they arrive in the studio.

The Shore Trooper Monaco merges the Imperial military aesthetic of Rogue One with the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram canvas — classic brown and gold trimmed in gold hardware, punctuated with red accents. Every panel, every seam, every edge is intentional. The matching hexagonal base is finished in the same canvas and trim, so the piece arrives as a complete, exhibition-ready object.

The Shore Trooper Monaco started with a question I keep coming back to: what happens when two worlds of obsessive craftsmanship collide?

On one side, the Imperial military design language of Rogue One — angular, utilitarian, with that distinctive forehead-plated helmet built for the beaches of Scarif. On the other, the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram canvas — one of the most recognized luxury symbols on the planet. I built Shore Trooper Monaco to find out what lives at that intersection.

Every panel is crafted from authentic vintage Louis Vuitton monogram canvas, the classic brown and gold that needs no introduction. I trimmed each seam and edge in gold, following the Shore Trooper's angular geometry — the visor line, the cheek plates, the crown. Red accents punctuate the side panel and visor line, the only interruption in an otherwise unified palette. The matching hexagonal display base is finished in the same canvas and gold trim, so the whole piece reads as one object.
