Digital Dunk Hermes takes the Nike Dunk and names it after the Greek messenger god — Hermes, deity of speed, travel, and transitions, famously depicted wearing winged sandals that allowed him to move between the mortal and divine worlds. Nike is the Greek goddess of victory. A Nike sneaker named after the god who wore the original divine athletic footwear is a conceptual pun that goes all the way down: built from e-waste and upcycled components, the fastest sneaker silhouette of the past decade reimagined as an offering to the god who first wore shoes with wings.
