"Clanker" is what the clone troopers called Battle Droids in The Clone Wars — affectionate, slightly contemptuous, and deeply earned given the B1's reputation as one of the galaxy's most haplessly expendable soldiers. Louis Clanker takes that gangly, lovably doomed droid and gives it the luxury treatment it never asked for, handcrafted from authentic upcycled Louis Vuitton materials, metal hardware, and found components, merging industrial precision with couture artistry.
The contrast is exactly as delightful as it sounds. A companion print — a limited run 11×14 — is also available in the shop for those who want Louis Clanker on their wall without the full sculpture.
