I'm excited to unveil R2-DeLuxe, the latest addition to my life-sized series. This ongoing series centers on recreating some of the most iconic Star Wars characters at full scale, with a reinterpretation carried out through the use of different luxury materials, textures, and hardware. This time, it's the most loyal droid in the galaxy: R2-D2.
R2-DeLuxe is a sculpture with a luxury theme, based on the original Kenner figure from 1978 and measuring 39 inches in height.

Over 200 hours of craftsmanship
Made from upcycled vintage Louis Vuitton luggage pieces.
Leather body and dome treated to a natural wood-grain finish, inspired by heirloom steamer trunks
Brass trunk nails and studs set throughout, like the fittings on a classic steamer trunk
Deep navy accents in place of R2's signature blue, with red and blue dome lenses
A stitched leather band and repurposed luggage hardware, including a brass D-ring on the front panel
